Agent offers clarity on Denmark international's future and claims no offers have arrived, but if they do something could happen as he leaves the ball in the German club's court
The agent of Simon Kjaer believes his client will not leave Wolfsburg unless Juventus or Roma match the German club's €15 million transfer demands. The Denmark international has been linked with a return to Serie A after enduring a frustrating first season at Wolfsburg, who narrowly avoided relegation from the Bundesliga.
Roma have been suggested as a likely destination over the last few weeks, while reports in Italy on Wednesday claimed Juventus had entered the race for the defender.
"If the player is liked and he is an objective then Juventus and Roma must first speak with Wolfsburg," agent Mikkel Beck told Calciomercato.com.
"No proposals have arrived from Roma or Juventus and I know Wolfsburg are relying on Kjaer. I think he will stay with Wolfsburg.
"He has a contract until 2014 and he is happy there, but if an offer comes then it will be down to Wolfsburg to decide what to do.
"If things develop we will sit at the table and speak, but last year Wolfsburg made an important investment in Kjaer and it is unlikely they will want to lose him."
The 22-year-old defender joined Palermo from Midtjylland in 2008 before moving to the German outfit in 2010.
