Per Mertesacker claimed to have an emotional relationship with Arsenal. New Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker revealed that she is a true fan of the Gunners since was a kid.

As is known, the 26-year-old player officially joined Arsenal in the last day of the transfer market this summer.

"There's an emotional relationship with Arsenal, since I was young, when I walk around the house with Arsenal jersey," recalled Mertesacker.

"The circle is closed now. I think I finally realize my dream, after the first practice or when I get out of the stadium for the first time. I was very happy when the offer came. I think it will not happen."
