Manchester United's veteran midfielder admitted Barcelona striker Lionel Messi is the best player over the last 20 years.
24-year-old Argentine is considered able to perform consistently in recent years and usher in the heyday of Barcelona, so Giggs assess Messi is the best player who ever met in the last two decades.
"Maybe, he is the best player in the last 20 years," Giggs said as quoted by the Tribal Football.
"He's a player that is very difficult to maintain. Because of the posture and speed, he becomes difficult to stop, and the balance is extraordinary."
"Cristiano Ronaldo is almost equal to him, but Messi won two Champions League trophy in three years and scored two goals in the final.
"That's what makes people believe. The player scoring big in big games," added Giggs.
